A developer of another game gave me the solution. I have to say that with every Mac Unity game, let's say 10/20 games, I had to perform this solution every time.

Nice game that kept me busy for a while, although there are (maybe) two bugs. The first one is that I don't hear any music, is that just the way it is (Mac version). Secondly, after I died and showed my score, both were 0, although there was 'New highscore' next to it.

Bro this game is difficult as hell haha.

It was a fun little game!

It was an enjoyable game!

I actually got it working, but it isn't plug and play!

Step 1: Open terminal

Step 2: type chmod +x

Step 3: Drag the file you find in: "Left click on the game -> Show package contents -> MacOS" to the terminal and press ''enter''.

(!) Dont't use ''enter'' between the chmod +x command and the file you want to drag.

This will make the file an executable file, which makes it possible to boot up the game.

The problem is that the Mac doesn't recognise the executable file on default.

When trying to execute the file, I got error code 128.

A nice little experience! If you would put more space between the spawn point and the first spring, that would make the last level a lot easier. I now jump sometimes without willing.

It was a nice short experience! It made me reflect on my life.

Thanks man! It works, I put an enter after 'chmod +x' and then dragged the file into terminal. After duplicating your video, it works! I'll do a review on it.

~ % chmod +x

usage: chmod [-fhv] [-R [-H | -L | -P]] [-a | +a | =a  [i][# [ n]]] mode|entry file ...

chmod [-fhv] [-R [-H | -L | -P]] [-E | -C | -N | -i | -I] file ...

 ~ % /Users/..../Desktop/TheProfessional.app/Contents/MacOS/The\ Professional

zsh: permission denied: /Users/..../Desktop/TheProfessional.app/Contents/MacOS/The Professional

This is what I get, the game still won't open :(

I appreciate your effort trying to help me

Sure no problem! I think the problem indeed lays in the fact that MacOS can't find a file format or program to execute to start the game. I'll keep you updated if I find the solution.

Keep me also updated if you find a solution. This could let a lot of games run on MacOS that now seem incompatible, despite having a Mac build.

When I click 'show file content' of the executable file, I am shown a folder called 'contents', when opening that folder I get the folders '_CodeSignature', 'Frameworks', 'MacOS', 'MonoBleedingEdge' etc. In neither folder is a file that I can execute to open up the game.

The zip file extracts itself automatically after downloading, it is the extracted file that gives the errors.

I would look forward to it!

I get:  ''The app FadingSoulsMacSilicon can't be opened.'' And I get: Safari can't open the file 'FadingSoulsMacSilicon' because there is no app available to open it with.

I still haven't solved this for any of the games nor do I know a developer who solved it after my remark. I appreciate the effort you put into this!

I get:  ''The app Closebuild1_Mac can't be opened.'' And I get: Safari can't open the file 'CloseBuild1_Mac' because there is no app available to open it with.

Edit: I got it to work!

Now that you explained it, it seems logical. I look forward to your next projects :)

Hi!

The Mac version is not working on Apple Silicon M1 MacOS Ventura. When trying to open it, I get the error: The app ST_Mac could not be opened. :(

Will you maybe make an English translation for this game? I like the graphics!

This is what I get when entering the prescribed code in Terminal (Mac):

 ~ % cd /Users/marwan/Downloads

cd TheProfessional.app/Contents/MacOS

chmod +x TheProfessional.app/Contents/MacOS/The\ Professional

chmod: TheProfessional.app/Contents/MacOS/The Professional: No such file or directory

I'm using Apple Silicon M1 with MacOS Ventura.

Unfortunately, the Mac version does not work with Apple Silicon on MacOS Ventura :(

It's a nice little story. I enjoyed it, although I don't understand why Jad didn't want to come along or Nasima wouldn't' simply grab him.

Edit: Props for having a Mac version. I can verify that it works on the newer Apple Silicon machines.

Unfortunately, it still doesn't work. I still get the message that: ''The app MushroomLabyrinth_23010201_Mac_silicon can't be opened.''

I'm using ARM Apple Silicon, it does not have a Intel (or AMD) CPU.

I couldn't play it on my Apple M1 :(

The game does not work on Apple M1 :(

Can't open it on Apple M1 :(

It is fun and original, but for me personally, it is too difficult. It would be nice if you always hear that alerting sound when a dagger is close to you. Furthermore, that's a lot of daggers haha.
